Started my journey of long career from Oberoi Sheraton Hotel from Mumbai. I had mentally decided that first 5 years will be the foundation years–for me to do wonders in the future & earnings becoming secondary.
I was fully geared up for the long haul and long hours which I will have to put in. I also knew that it will be very tough –but one’s endurance will only help one to last the distance & that was imbibed in me from my school days.
The Mantra for foundation years was only FOCUS and nothing else and gaining more and more Knowledge in each section of Production.
I was amazed to see the dedication & perfection of the staff towards their work which gave me insights to more perfection in my work ethics.
After working for 5 years in India I shifted to Gulf Hotel Bahrain. Working there along with people from very diverse regions. There I learnt human relations & cuisines of different regions.
I always wanted to work in Europe– and fortunately got an offer from London Hilton Park Lane . I moved to London and cannot describe my stay there–it was as per my thoughts, stay very enriching knowledge , exposure and Cuisine wise.My skills in Human relationship increased as I had to handle staff from very diverse countries. My learning of shop floor management attained new heights, I also gained knowledge in implementation of PROCESSES/ SOP’S & HACCP.
